Humans are Animals, Just a More Adapted Version

Surely you have considered that humans are animals. I mean just look at the way they drive and flip you off on the freeway or verbally abuse each other on Television. But if humans are animals then they must fit the definition of an animal. Especially if we are to prove that they are animals once and for all.

Very well then here is a first try at a; Definition of an Animal

A complex organism, which is alive whose individual mission is to;

(1) Stay alive as long as possible;

(2) Procreate and pass on its genes and

(3) Seek to fulfill its self in being free from want of anything and/or anything, which would compromise its mission.

(4) Work to insure its offspring are able to do the same, provided it does not jeopardize prior priorities.

Strategies to fulfill mission may include socialization with same species, other animals, symbiotic relationships, reasoning, hunting, decoy, hiding, deception, increasing social status or pecking order.

Now then do human beings fit that definition? Surely they do. Regardless of the fact that they communicate with cell phones, fly in airliners and send people to the moon, they still fit the definition and are indeed animals. Only real difference is they are of all the higher mammals the most highly adapted of all. So, consider this in 2006; you animal you.
